1. License and Usage Rights
License Requirements
Use of the SlashClean Browser Extension requires a valid license:
- • Valid License: You must have a current, valid license purchased through Gumroad
- • Personal Use: The license grants you the right to use the Extension for personal use only
- • Single User: Each license is valid for one individual user
- • License Verification: The Extension will verify your license with Gumroad periodically
- • Functionality Limitation: If a valid license key is not provided, the extension will not perform bulk deletion actions. No Slack data is accessible outside of this limitation.
Permitted Use
You may use the Extension to:
- • Manage and delete your own messages in Slack workspaces where you are a member
- • Clean up message history for organizational purposes
- • Use the Extension's features in accordance with your Slack workspace policies
Prohibited Use
You may not:
- • Share your license key with others
- • Use the Extension for commercial purposes without appropriate licensing
- • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension
- • Use the Extension to violate any applicable laws or regulations
- • Use the Extension to delete messages you don't have permission to delete
- • Circumvent or attempt to bypass license verification
2. Chrome Extension Permissions
The extension requests the following permissions to function:
Host Access
Limited to slack.com domains to interact with Slack. This allows the extension to work only on Slack websites.
Storage
To store your license key and settings locally in your browser. No data is transmitted externally.
Scripting & Active Tab
To inject code only into Slack pages, enabling local functionality for bulk message deletion.
3. Slack Integration and Limitations
Slack API Usage
The Extension uses Slack's official API and is subject to:
- • Slack's Terms: Your use is also governed by Slack's Terms of Service and API Terms
- • Rate Limits: Slack imposes rate limits on API calls that may affect Extension performance
- • API Changes: Slack may modify their API, which could impact Extension functionality
- • Workspace Policies: Your workspace administrators may restrict API access

4. Data Deletion and Responsibility

- • No Recovery: We cannot recover deleted messages

Liability Protection

License verification is handled through Gumroad:
- • Verification Required: The Extension periodically verifies your license with Gumroad
- • Internet Connection: License verification requires an active internet connection
- • Gumroad Terms: Your purchase is also subject to Gumroad's terms and policies
- • License Suspension: Invalid or expired licenses will result in Extension deactivation
